The Trust

· Scotland's Garden Trust, a Registered Charity and not for profit organisation was formally constituted in 1997 to advance the education of the public by the provision of a national horticultural centre and garden.

· The Trust is committed to providing a community facility in the interests of social welfare by improving the conditions of life for the benefit of the general public


Project details

· The Calyx will be located at Cherrybank in Perth. Scotland.

· It will appeal to the entire community of Perth & Kinross and wider communities across Scotland.

· The project will attract significant domestic, national and international attention and interest

· The total garden site extends to 24.85 hectares (61.34 acres).

· Funding for the project is a combination of grants, loans, sponsorship and donations.

· The projected opening timescale is 2010 although this is dependent on the success of raising funds within the given timescale.

· Once open, the project will employ in excess of 200 people full time.
