VOLUNTEERS
The Calyx has three placement opportunities for young people in Perth. The placements cover areas such as marketing, gardening and customer relations and are supported by ProjectScotland. ProjectScotland acts as a portal, connecting young people, aged 16-25, with full-time volunteering in Scotland. If you want to gain more experience and give something back to your local community then The Calyx placements could be what you’re looking for.

Assistant Gardener (Horticulture)
This opportunity involves maintaining the gardens and equipment with an opportunity to carry out your own research project. The placement would be ideal for someone interested in working outside and in public interaction. All three opportunities require the individual to have available transport to travel to the placements. ProjectScotland would provide a weekly living allowance to enable the individuals to carry out the placement.

Visitor Centre Trainee (Customer Relations)
This opportunity involves working with the Centre Manager to develop the Visitor Experience, promoting the Centre to individuals and businesses as well as working as part of the team. The placement would be ideal for someone interested in leisure, tourism and customer relations.

Project Assistant (Marketing) -
fundraising targets. The opportunity requires you to use your initiative researching possible supporters and developing marketing materials to promote The Calyx throughout Scotland. This placement would be ideal for someone interested in marketing, fundraising and publicity.

If you are interested in any of the above volunteering opportunities please contact Lorraine Cox on 01738 472800 or e mail info@thecalyx.co.uk if you have any queries
